What a thrill to hear a racecar roar by as it speeds down the track! Come join us for a fascinating look at the world of Auto Racing. We’ll study stock car racing, Formula One, plus drag racing and others. We’ll learn about the development of cars and engines, including Henry Ford and his amazing contributions. And you’ll be introduced to famous speedways here in America and around the world.
What more exciting and interesting topic than this to learn about forces, combustion, safety, and so much more. We will learn about racing legends, as well as today's drivers competing for their turn in Victory Lane. We will take a look at today's family cars: how they work and some of their features. Along with all of this, we will cover car design, safety features, and the driving strategies used by today's drivers.
The Auto Racing unit is in electronic format, meaning your children can work through the study interactively, clicking on the links in each lesson to further their own investigation. Each day's lesson plan has been written in two levels: Lower Level (elementary grades) and Upper Level (junior/senior high grades), enabling the whole family to learn together!
Join us for hands-on, interactive learning that puts you in the driver’s seat with Auto Racing!
