Memorial Day

With the Memorial Day study, your family can focus on the meaning of this holiday by opening the children’s eyes to the liberties that they enjoy and showing them that these liberties have been protected at all costs. With this study, they will briefly learn about the history of the holiday, some of the wars that Americans have fought in, and ways that we can honor the great people who lost their lives defending our lives and liberty.

The Memorial Day unit study is special offering from the Unit Study Adventure series, designed to be a one-week study for grades K-12. The daily lesson plans have been written in two levels in this study:

Lower Level (elementary grades)
Upper Level (junior/senior high grades)

There are reading and writing assignments (Read and Discover), spelling and vocabulary words (Wise Words), biography studies, and projects for the whole family. Favorite books and Internet sites are included in the lesson plan as well as a large resource collection of Internet sites.
