SAVE MONEY! Four complete unit studies are contained in CDROM format in the Volume One Set, totaling 16 weeks of studies! These titles are newly updated, with live Internet links, printable pages, book suggestions, and much more -- this is a package that makes $ense - 400 pages!

This new combined set includes the following unit studies:

Baseball -- batter Up! Step right up and join our latest adventure -- we're off to study baseball in a whole new way! On CD-ROM, this unit study has been developed to provide a close look at baseball as a sport, using a cross-curriculum approach. Geography, history, science, and more are included in this very unique study.

Sailing Ships -- a thrilling topic for your next study! What a moving sight to see a tall ship under full sail. Even though you may not be able to see this in person, use this study with your students or family to learn more about sailing ships and their history, learn some of the basics of sailing, and "see" the ships through many resources.  A grand diversion for those days when you long for some warmth, an ocean breeze and tangy sting of salt spray!

Gardens --  ready to begin right now! Encompassing the history of gardens, plant science, planning and planting a garden, and the arts and gardens, the study is perfect for any time of year -- autumn gardens, winter daydreams, spring planting, and summer harvesting. Come on along and dig right in! We've grown seeds on the windowsill through the wintertime, watched a sweet potato sprout and spread across the top of the refrigerator, and learned so much!

Lighthouses --  a favorite of many people, lighthouses make a terrific topic of study. This study includes the history of lighthouses, their different designs, the science of the lights and how they work, as well as the geography of lighthouse locations. Lighthouses are intricately woven into the fabric of American history, and there are many people and places involved in the study. Did you know that Rudyard Kipling lived in an American lighthouse while writing one of the classic stories about American sailors? Did you know that one of the earliest lighthouse structures was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World? I didn't!
